Okay, so for some strange reason, maybe just my own dark side, it is comforting that Spurgeon and Luther were sometimes frustrated with their flocks to the point that they were reading to take their Bibles and bang them about their heads.
C. H. Spurgeon, said "I can sympathize with Luther when he said, 'I have preached justification by faith so often, and I feel sometimes that you are so slow to receive it, that I could almost take the Bible and bang it about your heads.'"
